Subject: Political Science
Political Science is the social science subject to study about the politics or government systems and analysis the activity and behavior of the politics. It highlights the political issues of any country to determine the power and resources. Niccolo Machiavelli developed the modern political science to overcome the difficulties of the old concept of the political science. Different political scientist defined their own definition
The political science also related with other fields such as economics, sociology, law, history, philosophy, geography, psychology, and anthropology. Comparative politics, International relations, International political economy, political theory, public law, political methodology and public administration are major sub-field of the political science. Different methodology are also used to understand the principles of the political science such as positivism, rational choice theory, behavioralism, structuralism, post-structuralism, interpretivism, realism, and institutionalism. Along this, historical documents, official records, survey research, case studies, model building, experimental research, and scholarly journal articles may be used as primary or secondary resource to study about the subject.
The subject is important for the student who want to build their career in the political science. Both boards CBSE and ICSE define the subject in their secondary education.
